My Lung Collapsed - Part 2
- See Part 1
- Went back to ER to have Xrays and possibly have the tube removed
- Everything’s closed since its a holiday, otherwise we’d go to a clinic
- ER was very busy: 2hrs in waiting for Xrays, 3+ hrs waiting for Doc in room
- Xrays showed there was still some air
- The valve was put in a cup of water, and I was told to cough many times
- You don’t want to see any bubbles when the person coughs
- There were a consistent amount of bubbles, which means there is still a leak in my lung
- Doc thought the tube may be in the way of the lung expanding fully
- Tube was pulled out a couple cm (an odd feeling)
- Apparently theres about 5 inches of the tube inside me, with another 12 in outside
- More Xrays coming on Wed
- May have to go in for surgery
- They clip off the top part of the lung with all these blebs
- They roughen up the surface of the lung and throw in some powder to help the lung seal again
